How I can import movies from my Canon camera to my Mac?

I have a Canon Powershot A720 IS and Powerbook Mac OSX. I just imported the photos in iPhoto, but the films did not matter.

Down here on Earth Apple iMovie is the consumer movie software level, but the import of data from DV camcorders real, not movie files from phones or cameras. If Canon does not include any software with the camera to the importation of films, you probably need to get a card reader. Connect the card reader port USB port on your PowerBook. Remove the card from the camera and put it into the card reader. That should mount the card as a drive in the Finder. Movie files on the card can be "the way file.mov", "file.avi" or "file.mpg." Canon Check the documentation (user guide). If the file is AVI, download and install Perian, link below, to QuickTime Player and iMovie to display AVI files.
