Memory card for Canon PowerShot SD970 IS?

The memory card I have used is a 2GB SD Memory Card. I bought a new card, but it says: SDHC Card (4GB), and it says it is compatible with all SDHC-compliant devices. Is the new card compatible with my camera, and how do I know/find out if my PowerShot is an SDHC device?

If you checked your camera’s specs, it tells you that it is compatible with SDHC cards, as well as some other types of memory cards.
