Canon Powershot SD1100 IS is a good camera?

I am thinking of buying a camera. Ed I hear a lot about Canon Powershot SD1100 IS. Is this camera worth buying. I had read some comments that have low light and night shots are not as good? Thanks for your reply also like to know if there is camera better. My budget is around $ 200.

The PowerShot SD1100 IS does a great job as a camera to take everywhere. The choice of camera body color, 8MP resolution, lots of preset picture settings and easy to use but not a PowerShot G10 or nothing to fight in difficult conditions in auto mode complete. The preset scene settings can often help overcome this. It's a good idea to test these presets to a crucial time to get feel for what works in what better. Alternatively conditions and even under $ 200 you can look at the SD770IS, corresponds to 10MP resolution, very similar to SD1100IS in most of ways, but with superior picture quality. Both are great cameras though … Hope this helps …

Should I buy the Canon SD1100 IS?

It is on sale at Electronics Show this week for 137, cheaper than what I saw elsewhere. Is it useful? should I buy?

Excellent, excellent price. A very fine camera. There is no manual control, but if you want a camera photo without worry or pain and very good quality image of the Canon SD1100 is a good choice.
