Understanding the value of wide angle lenses

Wide-angle lenses are, in my opinion, the most overlooked "next step" for photographers amateurs. Everyone has the "kit" lens that came with your camera, then go buy the 75-300mm zoom, then do it. I knew that I wanted 18-200mm when I bought my camera, but on a waiting list, so that the first goal that I bought was the angle Sigma 10-20mm wide. Wow. It gave me the opportunity to see impressive potential wide-angle lens (and limitations).

Why do I need?
When you try to capture pictures of landscapes or simply "size" of a scene, then the wide angle lens will help. Think in terms of how the light enters the lens of the camera. As it is expanded, allowing more details to focus on the film or sensor.

Ask yourself this. Have you ever been in a room to take a group photo or a picture of something in the room, but could not get close enough and could not retreat without leaving enough room? This is where the landfall objectives Wide angle slightly distort the image, but can still take a picture that is otherwise impossible.

One of the most interesting is to compose an image with a theme closely with a wide band of detail in the background. The first time you look through these lenses, all It seems far though. The trick is to get your theme as closely as possible to the camera (sometimes can be a few centimeters of sound) and the rest of the funds will be filled frame.

First, I made my camera in the mirror. I zoom to 20mm in the first place. Then zoom out to 10mm, but I am sure the camera lens is always the same size of each photo. See how much background is included because of the angle of the light is allowed less. Also realize even further how my head looks like, if I'm just looking in the viewfinder when the first picture. My hands are distorted in an interesting way.
