APS-C. Advice on lenses?
I've been using a 50mm lens on my film camera (Pentax ME Super) and have been wanting to get the same focal length my Canon 30D. After looking at the sigma 50mm f/1.4 and the Canon equiv. I found a comment saying the cameras with APS-C sensors like my 30d will not give me the same viewing angle to those experienced with my 50mm lens on my film camera. Is this true? if so, what focal length I have to repeat my experience with the movie camera? Is there a goal you are advising me to walk-around "Normal" lens? Currently, the canon 35mm f2 and f1.8, 28mm it, but reviews do not seem as good. Thanks
To obtain the equivalent focal length on the 30D, is multiplied by 1.6. = 34mm lens

Sigma lenses good?
I think most Sigma lenses are horrible, but some are really good. I think the 18-200mm and 20mm Sigma Lens 10. I saw some test shots, incredibly detailed and precise. great review on them. The only problem is probably your AF does not fast or something that does not AF well. But I usually do manual. So you think Sigma lenses I or am I better with Canon lenses? You 2-3 may be able to get a lens Sigma Canon lens.
There are objectives that Sigma really great. I have heard very good things about the 18-200mm and I know some people who use and love it. Not too sure about the 10-20mm though. Canon would be better if I get a quality objective that will take some time, but if you're looking for a good range with a budget, then go with Sigma.
