Sigma Lenses For Canon Xti
SLR Lenses: Brand vs. Brand House of third parties?

I am looking to buy my first SLR camera (probably a Canon XTi) and I have been looking some packets containing additional lenses. The packages come with additional Canon lenses seem to be more expensive than the lenses that come with third person ( ie Sigma or Tamron). How big is an agreement to use a third party lens vs the Canon lens? Will I lose part by not using the lens of brand? Or this case, a payment of additional amounts to the name of Canon? Thanks for the help, this SLR and lens changing things is all new to me.

It's a great thing. You going to buy a new digital SLR, every four or five years to keep up with new technologies, but lenses should last for decades (for least four decades). It is better to invest in the best lens you can afford. I've gone so far as to buy a good used lens made by Nikon, instead of buying a new third lens "Here is a quote from Ken Rockwell .. applies to Nikon lenses, but there is no reason to think that Canon does not do the same." Nikon often includes features secret cameras and lenses to make them compatible with the next five years or less than planned in secret technology. "" For example, the F4 1988 is fully compatible with AF-I and AF-S lenses that do not appear until 1992 and 1998. "Nikon AI lenses in 1977 already had secret lugs on the back that information the major objective of the camera matrix metering, not introduced until the FA 1983. "" The AF zoom lenses, since they were introduced in 1986, have always had focal length encoders which insert data in digital cameras today EXIF data. "AF lenses of today (mockingly even the versions G) still have mechanical lugs for backwards compatibility with the matrix meter of the Football Association in 1983, and manual focus lenses still coupling teeth F. 1959 "What this means for you, is the third party lenses that do not have these features.

Price. The Canon Digital Rebel XTi can be had for about $ 600 today as a kit lens. That's enough to make me sick when I consider that I paid about $ 1000 for my first digital point and shoot about six years. This is a great price to get into the world of SLR photography.

There are many third party lenses can be used in the Rebel XTi. The Sigma 70-300 APO DG Macro is a good example. You may even be able to buy used the Sigma, if you look around a bit. You can buy the Digital Rebel without the kit lens Canon. This is great because it gives you the opportunity Shopping for deals of different lenses as Sigma model mentioned above.

Even though the XTi is the bottom of the range of models from Canon SLR, you can still use most of Canon lenses manufactured. When and if you decide to move to a new SLR, the lens can move with you.

This is a very popular camera and has been since its launch. This gives a great new buyer benefits, including a large number of online forums to discuss advantages, disadvantages and tips. In addition, Canon has had ample time to correct problems with the camera. There too much use of the Rebel XTi for sale now, as their owners move to more sophisticated machinery.

10.1 MP Rebelde provides great resolution to allow for better crops. A much more resolution than some of its competitors as the 6.1MP Nikon D40.

Rebel DSLR is a good entry-level sports photography. Especially if you use the money saved on the camera body for a few glasses of good. Something like 135mm f2 L for indoor ranges, and the Sigma 100-300 F4 for photos outdoors.

The Canon Xti is an action game much faster and better low-light conditions than anywhere compact.

Better cameras than the Rebel are around, but they’re very hard to find. The Canon Rebel has been a great seller for number of years, and with good reason.

What lens should I buy?

I'm looking for something in this line of lenses for my Canon XTi, Thanks for 100-200 dollars!

As yaguru, I agree that the Tamron is slower than the approach but I think the objectives are better with the Sigma Tamron. Your best bet would be to locate these two stores use their camera lenses own camera body and have him take some test shots with both and compare the results for yourself. Check the weather service, the sharpness of contours, etc..
