Speedlite 270ex Flash
Is a ‘Canon Speedlite 270EX Flash’ compatable with an Olympus E500 camera?
My friend has asked me to take some photos of her wedding only had access to the church today I only take pictures for fun and this has put the preassure on, only thing is the church is dark and I need a flash gun and fast, this is the only one available to me at short notice, can anyone help?
Since it’s a dedicated flash with no manual or thyristor mode, the Canon Speedlite 270EX flash probably will not work on your Olympus E-500 or it may be limited to 1/1 output. Either way, the 270EX is not a proper solution for a wedding shoot.
Hopefully you aren’t the designated photographer of your friend’s event. If such is the case, I would recommend buying the Olympus FL-50R for the shoot and resell or return it afterwords. It’s the only full-featured solution for such a scenario. If you were just asked to supplement a paid photographer then there’s no need to buy such a lifeline. Unfortunately, you’re out of luck if the 270EX is the only unit available for you on short notice.

The Canon Speedlite 270EX Flash right?
A very general question, but I would really like to hear from people who use or have used flash.
The flash is good for the price, but compared with the more expensive Canon flashes, several features are missing.The 270EX is ideal for all those who want to flash a bit more powerful if you can pay a little more I recommend Canon Speedlite 430EX http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http% 3A% 2F %%%%% 2Fwww.amazon.com 3DUTF8 2Fs% 255F% 3Fie 26ref 3Dnb keywords%%% 255Fss 26field-3Dcanon%%%% 26url 3Dsearch-alias 2520flash 253Dphoto & tag = computer0bd-20 and linkCode = UR2 and camp = 1789 creative = 390957
