Speedlite 580ex Ii Wireless
Using 580EX II wireless transmitter EOS7d for action?

I'll be shooting some skaters in a skate park tomorrow and will cover ii use my Speedlite 58ex expect to get decent results. What I can I figure out is how to turn off the flash and the fire still 7d external .. wirelessly. The reason I want to do this is so you can put the flash on the side of the camera to shoot wide-angle portrait style without shadow lines too visible and perhaps also the position of the flash remotely. The problem is that the burden of 7d flash seems to take about one second per shot against Speedlite about 1 / 4 seconds. So Id love to shoot with flash at a distance to 4 frames per second instead of 1. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks! My website is: bqimages.net .. if you want any criticism of my work please feel free to do so!

I guess it has soared for the moment that after this, but as others have said, if you want TTL and is using the pop-7D board as commander for the remote control 580, which is limited in the number you can take photos quickly, because the recharge time of the pop-up is slow (to protect from burning). In the future, you might want to consider using manual flash (no TTL) and the use of active radio (RF602 are good). I used Yongnuo 560 flashes (about specifying the same as a Canon 580 flash) – which cost about £ 60. The RF602 triggers a cost of £ 27 for a one Tx and Rx. They will keep up with about 8 fps when using off camera power at 8.1 or less. Not exactly the same as the shooting of the skateboard, but it was a swim I did with YN560 2x 1 / 8 power, triggered by the RF602. I was running at about 4 fps and the Self fired at any time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2krz58XfUw true that there is a great job on your site – very impressive.

Canon 580EX II Master Mystery Solved Settings

Working with Canon Speedlites can be both a blessing and a curse. " It is a blessing because these wonderfully intelligent devices can provide the right amount of light in your scene, together with the camera to calculate the correct exposure in the fraction seconds after pressing the shutter button. It's really miraculous. On the other hand, is a curse when we struggle to understand how these flashes on the basis of cryptic instructions in the manual, and you're pulling their hair out in frustration when they work not. This happens too often. One of the more confusing adjustments in the flash Canon 580EX II master mode. This is how the 580EX on the camera becomes the master, or controller, other remote flashes. Remote could be more 580 EX flashes, or simpler models such as the 430EX. To the remote control, you must get the Master Flash correctly configured, and this can be confusing, to say the least. The first confusion is that Canon has chosen to make the master controls have to press the zoom button on the flash. Not on the mode button, which would have been logical, but the zoom button. Once you press the zoom button and hold for 2 seconds, the flash fires in Master mode installation. The confusion arises in the second mode when you see the words on and off. These words can mean different things when it comes to flash. For example, when set to Off, I turn the flash itself as a source of light, or am I simply turn off their main function? (The answer is the latter). If you think this is Flash itself as a source of light, so the only light in the scene comes from the remote flashes, it's a totally different way, Let's talk about another time. All understand. Once you hold the button down to zoom in the master control mode, the meaning of terms and disable only apply only to the state of the wireless flash mode, this mode Master Flash. If you turn it off, you disable the flash function as a master. In this If you really want to turn the flash as a regular flash, independent. No wonder photographers pulling hair trying to understand. The terminology comes from the uncertainty and the choice of buttons on the Canon was not crystal clear. And of course the manual 580EX II is a camera type Manual, short, cryptic, and probably written by someone who spoke English as a second language. For a demonstration of actual implementation in flash, you only want to see the video illustrates the technique detailed on-site SteeleTraining (dot com). In this video, you can actually see the process carried with hands and with flash, and sometimes a picture (of around a moving image) is worth 1000 words. About the Author
