Nice lens Canon 20D or 40D?
I'm minoring in photography next year, so I need a camera that is sufficiently advanced for that. I have a canon film slr and digital slr camera no. Should I buy the 20D body with a lens good or 40D body (using my lens of the movie.) I'm not considering the 30D b / cs not seem to be enough for the 20D updates the cost. As I said I'm minoring in photography, so I need a good camera, but I can not spend more than a few thousand dollars. Thanks!
It depends on how good of a deal you are getting the 20D. At this time there is a discount $ 200 in the 40D does a pretty good deal at only $ 939.95 – link (I paid much more for mine!): Http: / / www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/518207- REG/Canon_1901B004_EOS_40D_SLR_Digital.html You can always start with the 50mm 1.8 for only $ 90. That is a good target for the price. Is plastic, but still has great pictures. If it fits your budget that could increase to a 50mm 1.4 for about $ 325. Any of these will work well for portraits or just a general "walk" the lens to start. I agree in which the lenses are usually a better investment, but the discount makes the 40D right now much more affordable. If I were you, that's what I'd buy … then I start saving for more and better goals.
