What is the best? Canon PowerShot A550 or Sony DSC-W80 Cyber-?

I am thinking about buying a digital camera. I have chosen two models. One is "Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W80 "and another is" Canon PowerShot A550. "Can anyone say which is best. What I want is good quality pictures and user interfaces eazy.

I'll probably move up to the Canon PowerShot series A6xx. I bought 15 A520 Canon cameras in the course of 15 months and about 25% of them had problems with the lens cover to open completely after six months of use.
