Can I use the remote to a digital camera to my Canon Powershot Canon Rebel XSI?

I'm looking to buy a remote control .. and found a nice distance for a powershot … rebel xsi and I did. Its pretty cheap .. wonder if it will work on others. Thank you!

Any of the three remote controls on this page work with your Rebel XSi. It does not appear that they will work on the Powershot cameras. There Sureshot few cameras that two of them work with.
