Tamron lens for Canon XTI …?

I'm thinking of upgrading my little Canon lens Tamron 18-55 – 18-250mm F/3.5-6.3 Zoom Lens. I'm not going to fire shots action or anything, I'm really only going to be using it for shots every day and I'm really excited to use it on my honeymoon to first drawings of the buildings / ruins. My question is: how to respond Tamron AF? I read some comments that in low light tend to "freak out" … any cons? Any professional?

i would not get that specific lens, because the opening is very low, 6.3. maybe somewhere between 3-5 would be good. but from what Tamron go, they are quite good and cheaper.

If I get the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 XR? Advice needed.?

After reading many reviews on the Canon 17-85mm IS Lens, I lean more toward the Tamron equivalent. You do not have the USM, the manual focus in real time, and does not provide image stabilization (I do not really need for this proposal range i). However, I have something that Canon does not, the Tamron can maintain a constant f/2.8 aperture throughout the range, such as Canon lenses L. People often say the Tamron and Sigma brands are good, but the comments seem to prove otherwise. I know that, in terms of construction, the Tamron is worse, but I think that is optically better. Canon does not offer much, but I think this is the best option. They are basically the same price. Hello Nathan, The Tamron 17-50/2.8 is probably the best average overall zoom, you can buy today, in terms of image quality at any price.
